Technical College – Yambol as a partner of Vocational College of technical sciences – Edirne is starting implementation of project Open Dialog Network for Inter-professional Education and Training 2007CB16IPO008-2009-1-055 under Programme IPA Cross-border cooperation Bulgaria-Turkey. The duration of the project is from 01.07.2011 to 30.06.2012. Total budget of the project is 99128 €.
The main goal of the project is To establish Network of open dialog for education and training to contribute increasing the level of the qualification training of the students from the technical colleges in Yambol and Edirne according to necessities of the business in the cross-border region. There will be three groups of beneficiaries: Students of both colleges in Yambol and Edirne, Academic staff of colleges in Yambol and Edirne, Deputies of the business from the cross-border region. The results of the activities of the project will be accessible for Internet users. We will initiate, develop and carry out open dialog of inter-professional education and training. By this Open Dialog Network we will publish information, share problems and results - to attract interested individuals and organizations.As a result of the implementation of this project we will investigate possibilities of students to work and live in the cross-border region. Some students can take part as researchers. As a result of this analysis will be acquire valuable information about business requirements to both technical colleges regarding the students' theoretical knowledge and practical skills.The students will gain knowledge in areas, which according our discussions with business bodies and students inquires is important for their professional realization. This is additional knowledge in inter-professional and interdisciplinary areas, contemporary technologies and English language.
 The specific goals of the project are: To study the possibilities for future realization of the students from both colleges in the cross-border region and to evaluate the adequacy of the professional training of the graduating students
To examine the existing innovative practices in inter-disciplinary training and inter-professional education and to spread and put them into to practice in the cross-border region.
Project activities:
Research employability of students in cross-border region, Study of good practices of interdisciplinary and inter-professional education of students, Partial repairing and furnishing multifunctional laboratories for European Computer Driving License and language learning, Formation of inter-professional competencies: A Module «Entrepreneurship for starting own business».; A module „Career development and team work”, Implementation of education in the areas of modern technologies: A module „Computer qualification for certification program „ European Computer Driving License”, Implementation of education of inter-discipline professional competencies: A Module «Safety and quality of the food»; A Module “Ecologically and economically beneficial car driving”; Module „Innovations and Ecology in Textiles and Fashion Industry”; Module „The Gas equipments and new application techniques”, Implementation of education of inter-discipline professional competencies: English language education for students and academic staff, Discussion round table “Interdisciplinary and inter-professional knowledge and skills in European educational area”, Actualization of curriculums in Technical College – Yambol and Vocational College of Technical Science – Edirne, Final meeting in Yambol for common assessment and long-term collaboration Program.
Information and publicity: There will be carry out press conferences and bilingual booklet. The implementation and results of the activities will be published in project site: (http://sites.google.com/site/opendialognet/), and information campaigns in media. There will be realized 4 thematic meetings of the team.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAM
Academic Year 2011-2012

 

General Requirements

 

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Trakia University seeks students with working knowledge of English, and strong motivation to study and practice veterinary medicine. Letters of recommendation can also be enclosed. The entrance is according Bulgarian requirements for foreign students.
 

Application Requirements

 

All foreign citizens who have a diploma for completed secondary education are eligible for studying veterinary medicine at the FVM Stara Zagora.

А. For full period of study (five and a half years)

1. A completed application form or a letter of application containing a brief CV and specifying the degree program which is being applied for. The proficiency of the applicant in English must be explicitly specified.
2. Foreign citizens applying for the full period of study are required to submit a certified translation of their Diploma for completed secondary education including a supplement specifying their attendance record and grades, accompanied by the full academic record.
3. A document issued by a competent body certifying the applicant's eligibility to continue his studies in higher educational institutions in the country in which the applicant has completed secondary education.
4. All applicants are required to submit a medical certificate issued no earlier than a month before the application procedure, and validated by the respective authorities in the applicant's country.*
5. All applicants are required to submit a photocopy of their identity card(s) or passport(s) with the name legibly written in the Latin alphabet, the place and date of birth.
6. Four recent photographs.

B. Transfer from other Universities:**

Foreign citizens applying for a part of the full period of study must submit all the documents described above and an academic record (transcript).

*The Diploma and the medical certificate must be legalized, translated into Bulgarian and validated in accordance with the provisions contained in the intergovernmental agreements between the Republic of Bulgaria and the country in which these documents were issued. If no such agreements exist, the documents have to be legalized, translated and validated according to the standard procedure for the legalization, translation and validation of documents and other official papers.

**For persons graduated or studied in universities in biology, zootechnics, agronomy, medicine etc. Periods of study and exams taken will be recognized in some conditions.

 

Deadlines and Fees

 

Application form and all supporting documents should be presented between April 4th and July 30th 2011.
In case of vacancies further applications are also welcome until mid-September.

The tuition fee is 5000 EUR.

The students can pay the fees in two equal installments at the beginning of each semester. Persons with double citizenship, one of which Bulgarian, pay half of the amount set for foreign citizens, if they have been admitted in accordance with the requirements established for foreign citizens.
