The department for information and in - service teacher training qualifies pedagogical staff in all school subjects and levels at the secondary comprehensive school , comprising :

• implementation of new teaching contents ;
• continuous qualification in methodological and didactic problems of teaching in the school subjects ;
• implementation of up - to - date information and communication technologies in the educational process ;
• teacher training for acquiring qualification degrees ;
• organizing post-graduate trainings ;
• language training of teaching staff ;
• organizing linguistic practical training for students from the Bulgaria communities abroad ;
• developing products; compiler’s and publisher’s activity ;
• organizing an annual pedagogical meeting, conferences, etc.

The lecturers at the Department work within the framework of various national and international projects for applying contemporary good practices in the teaching process.
