Curriculum

The training is performed according to the new academic plan, compatible to EC Directives 78/1026, 78/1027 and especially Directive 36/2005 for recognition of veterinary professional qualification. The courses are divided into obligatory and elective. The new academic plan introduced the credit system in education. The effect of its implementation is most obvious in clinical departments that were restructured to provide animal species-oriented training of students. The mobile clinic, as a form of practical training, is also included in the new curriculum. The system of tuition quality control in the FVM is continuously improved. According to the newest amendments in the Higher Education Law, each graduate of the FVM receives apart his/her Bulgarian diplomas, a European appendix to diploma of Master in Veterinary Medicine.
